Dolores has been at Allstate Investments since 1996, having started in Investment Operations Accounting and then rotating to Allstate Financial’s Finance and Planning area for two years.

Within the past year, she returned to Investments in the Resource Management group, working on incentive compensation plans and succession planning. She has an undergraduate degree in accounting from Augustana College, is a CPA and earned her MBA in finance from DePaul University. Prior to Allstate, she worked at CNA Insurance Company and General Binding Corporation.

Why did you choose to work at Allstate Investments?
It was a large, financially stable company capable of providing excellent challenges and opportunities to allow me to grow in my career. I was also impressed with the people I met.
What are the key aspects of your daily work?
I interact directly with the officers in Investments to implement and administer the various incentive plans.
I work closely with the various asset class teams to address issues that arise on either new or existing performance measures.
Finally, I am responsible for leading the succession planning process within Investments and then coordinating the results with the Corporate HR department.
What keeps you here?
The ability to continually learn and I enjoy the people I work with. Both management and co-workers are always willing to take time to train as well as help work out issues, both individually and in a team environment.
What’s most important to you about your job at Allstate Investments?
My job is continually changing and evolving and I like the challenges that brings to my development.
I like the people I work with, and the team environment.
On a personal front, as a new mom, Allstate Investments provides me with work/family balance.
